The Vice Chancellor of University of Ilorin, AbdulGaniyu Ambali, has disclosed that about 108 fresh students of the institution have been expelled for gaining admission through dubious means.
He said this when he was paid a visit by the commissioner of Police in Kwara State, Mr Sam Okaula.
According to Ambali, the stable academic calendar and culture of excellence in the university and the consequent interest of most candidates to secure admission into the institution, has made most of these candidates to resort to illegal means in seeking admission into the university.
He stressed on the university's stance on zero tolerance for cultism and indecent dressing and assured the police commissioner of the university's support in rendering any help the police may need in the course of exercising their duties.
