UNILORIN Produces 67 First Class As 8,038 Students Graduate

A total of 67 out of 8,038 graduating students of University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) will be awarded with first class honours during the institutions 32nd Convocation Ceremony that comes up on Friday and Saturday.

According to the Vice Chanvellor, Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali said the graduating students “comprise 1,903 post graduates,6069 under graduates of first degree and 66 diploma graduates.

“Of our 6,069 first degree graduands 67 of them made the first class grade and 1,505 made second class upper division grade. Additionally, we have 3,200 second class lower division,1,124 third Class division and 70 pass.Those who had pass were 82 last year. The MB:BS graduands during the session are 103”.

He stated that the university has achieved giant strides in the last few years under his watch which has earned it the number one choice for admission seekers.

Interested applicant should visit http://oaa.flexisaf.com:8080/jigpoly/ and follow the procedures below:

ACCOUNT ACTIVATION
1. Click on new applicant.
2. Enter your name, and a valid phone number (ensure that it is your phone number for it will be used in subsequent communication with you).
3. A confirmation code will be sent to your phone.
4. Use the code sent to activate your account.
5. You will be redirected to the login page.

LOGIN
1. Use your phone number (The one you entered earlier) as your Username as well as password.
2. A successful login will take you to the welcome page.

PAYMENT
Confirm your information on the page and proceed to select a payment method. After a successful payment, you would proceed to fill your application form. You are required to enter your personal information including your names and other relevant information. A valid phone number is required which is going to be the primary communication medium in regards to your application.

CHOICE OF PROGRAMME
You are required to select the choice of your programme of study from the list of available programmes.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
i) You are expected to enter not more than two sittings of O’level Examination results ii) In addition to the above, DE applicants are expected to enter institution, class of diploma/statement of result obtained (ND, HND, NCE, A’level). iii) You are expected to enter grade details of relevant O’level results (SSCE/WAEC/GCE/NECO/TCII etc). iv) You are also required to specify the centre number and exam number of all the results you have entered..

UPLOADING YOUR PASSPORT PHOTOGRAPH
You are required to upload your recent passport photograph that is very clear and with a plain background. The picture should be a JPEG format and not more than 50kb in size..

APPLICATION SUBMISSION
After filling all the necessary information, you should submit the application by clicking on the 'Submit application’ button. Before final submission of the application, cross check to ensure all the information are correct. This is because after any of the information..

PRINTING OF APPLICATION FORM
After successful submission of the application, your application page is displayed. The Serial Number on your slip is your Application ID as well as your login username. Click on Print Application to print it..

AT SCREENING CENTERS.
Before your application can be processed, you must attend the screening in person. i) You are required to present the originals of your relevant credentials (O' level results, JAMB result/acknowledgment slip, A’ level results, diploma or IJMB - as applicable to you.). ii) Photocopies of all results presented will be submitted at the center. iii) The photocopy of O’level certificate/statement of result(s) will be accompanied by appropriate utility card (scratch card for accessing result) of the examination body. iv) You are to submit photocopy of indigene letter, certificate of birth/declaration of age and a copy of the printed post UTME application form.

APPLICATION STATUS
You will be contacted via SMS on your phone for the date, time and venue for your screening.

Al-Hikmah University Course Registration Procedure 2016/2017

This is to inform all students that the University Senate of Al-Hikmah University has approved a new procedure for registration of Courses as follows:

Step One - Payment of School fees.

Step Two - After payment, students should proceed to their Level Advisers for Courses to register for. (Departments are to design a form to this effect).

Step Three - Students proceed to register on-line and print 4 copies of the registered courses.

Step Four - Students take the printed course forms to the Level Adviser for confirmation and endorsement.

Step Five - The Level Adviser will forward the endorsed course forms to the Head of Department who will endorse and forward same to the Dean for endorsement.

Step Six - College Officers will forward the forms to the Deputy Registrar(Academic) after their endorsement.

Step Seven - Academic Office will endorse and distribute the forms appropriately.

Deadline for Course Registration
The deadline for Course registration is 30th November of every Academic Session.

Late registration for Courses which will attract a fine of Five thousand Naira (N5,000) per week will begin on 1 st – 31 st December of every Academic Session. Students that fail to register for Courses as at 31 st December of every Academic Session will be deemed to have voluntarily withdrawn from the University.

Important Information for the Federal Polytechnic Offa 2010/2011, 2011/2012, 2012/2013, 2013/2014, 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 graduands regarding the polytechnic 8th convocation ceremonies.


Information to Graduands
i. All graduands are expected to be physically present at the ceremony to receive their Diplomas, Certificates and Prizes.
ii. Graduands are to collect their Graduation kits (academic gown, one (1) invitation card, scroll and brochure etc.) from their various School Officers from Monday, 10 October, 2016, having obtained REMITA payment code from the Cash Office to pay online, the sum of N5, 000. 00 (Five Thousand Naira Only), into Federal Government’s Treasury Single Account (TSA).
iii. There will be a refund of N1, 000. 00 upon the return of the Academic Gown to the Academic Affairs Office at the Main Campus not later than close of work on Monday, 24 October, 2016. However, for any damaged gown, there will be a surcharge while certificates will not be released to those who fail to return their gowns.
iv. Graduands will be responsible for the transportation, accommodation and feeding of their own guests.
v. All graduands are expected to be seated at the Convocation Arena by 07:30a.m.
vi. We wish you all journey mercies.
Guidelines for Collection of Certificates (ND & HND)
• Graduates who have previously collected genuine statements of Result and Testimonial should bring along the following:
• A genuine identification item such as the National ID Card or International Passport or Drivers Licence.
• Two (2) standard passport-sized photographs
• Obtain REMITA payment code from the Cash Office to pay online, the sum of Five Thousand Naira (N5,000. 00) Only per certificate, into Federal Government’s Treasury Single Account (TSA)
• Present receipt of payment at Academic Affairs Unit for collection of the Certificates.

Note: Collection of Certificates by Proxy will not be honoured.

This is to inform the general public especially  all part-time graduates from Nigeria Corps Producing Institutions that their Institutions have uploaded their names on the NYSC Portal.

They are to visit www.nysc.org.ng effective from Monday 17th October, 2016 to register and print their Exclusion Letters.

Registration Process

Prospective Batch B 2016 corps members are to visit the NYSC online portal at www.nysc.org.ng  for online registration and bio-metric data capture.

They should upload a Passport photograph with the following specifications;
  1. Ensure your face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth and jaw) is fully shown without bending.
  2. Ensure the picture is centralized and fills the frame.
  3. Ensure the Photo background is white or off-white with no shadow.

Please note the following;

Only prospective corps members who want their call-up numbers sent to them through SMS and wish to PRINT their call-up letters on-line are expected to pay the sum of Three Thousand Naira (N3,000.00).

Prospective Corps members who do not want to pay the N3,000.00 have the option of going to their schools to collect their call-up numbers and call-up letters.

Prospective corps members who have problems related to mobilization should go to the nearest NYSC Secretariats, see the Deployment and Relocation officer and lodge their complaints between 17th October to 12th November, 2016.

All admitted candidates of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) are expected to pay an Acceptance Fee, the appropriate Tuition Fee and the Student Union Fee.

The Acceptance Fee is expected to be paid before verification of academic records and filling of bio-data form can be done.

Candidates are to visit http://portal.lautech.edu.ng/fresher/ click on "Create an Account" on the General Menu on the right of this page.

After successfully creating an account, you will be directed to the Login page to pay the necessary fees.

-An Interswitch enabled Debit/ ATM card, specifying the “Card Number”, “Expiry Date”, “Card PIN” and “CVV2 Code”
Ensure that you have sufficient funds in the card specified above, to cater for your fees as quoted in this section

The following documents should be submitted at the Academic Affairs unit to complete your Academic Verification:

A) Basic Contact Information including Surname, Othernames, Email, Phone and Contact Address

The management of the  Imo State University (IMSU) invites suitably eligible candidates to apply for its one year Extra-mural and pre-degree programme admission for the 2016/2017 academic session.

Who can Apply for IMSU Extra-Mural and Pre-degree Programmes?

A). Extra-mural programme – candidates with deficiencies in their O’level exams and seeking remedy examination conducted by accredited public examination bodies like WAEC, NECO and NABTEB or UTME conducted by JAMB. Subjects covered in the programme,include : English Language, Mathematics, Physics,Chemistry,Biology,Government,Literature-In-English,Igbo,Christain Religious Knowledge, Economics,Geography,Agricutural sciences,Computer science, french,History, Commerce and principles of Accounts. Candidates will be required to register on their own with the public examination body of their choice.

B). The Pre-degree Programme is for candidates who already possesses university admission requirements and seek to undergo a year pre-degree study preparatory for subsequent admission into the 100Level Degree Programme of the Imo State University. The programme will be available in the Sciences,Business,Social sciences,Computer sciences,Humanities,Education,Engineering,Law,Medicine and Health sciences

IMSU Extra-Mural and Pre-degree Eligibility.

1. Candidate for Extra- Mural studies must have attempted SSCE/NABTEB with evidence of the subject failed for which remedy is sought.
2 . Candidates for Pre-Degree must possess at least (5) Credit passes at not more than two sittings at the SSCE or GCE (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) or equivalent qualifications. For the sciences,Engineering,Health sciences,Business,Social Science, Law and Education, the five credit include English Language and Mathematics. For Medicine, only one sitting is allowed at the SSCE,GCE,NECO,NABTAB or equivalent qualifications.
3. Pre-degree Candidates are required to take and pass the 2017 JAMB UTME with a pass mark.
4. Candidates should make IMSU their first choice if University in the UTME in their application forms.
5. For a candidate to have a space in the University, he/she must score a minimum of 50% in the First and Second semester exams of the CENTER in addition to the JAMB UTME pass mark

How to Apply for IMSU Pre-Degree/Extra Mural.

(1) Obtain a registration card containing your application PIN Code from any branch of any of the following banks in Owerri, Imo State: IMSU Microfinance Bank, Zenith Bank for the payment of N6500.00 Application Fee to the cashier.
(2) Create your Application Account on http://31.222.174.145/IMSU/PreDegreeLogin.aspx.
(3) Login to your Application Account using your username and password.
(4) Fill correctly all required information on the Application form.
(6) Submit each application stage on completion before proceeding to the next stage.
(7) Verify and print your fully completed application form.
(8) Take your application form to the screening centre as registration evidence.

NOTE: Scratch cards from unauthorised vendors or previous transaction cannot be used to start this application process. Please purchase your card only from specified point of sale.

Futo Supplementary Admission Form 2016/2017 Released

Futo Supplementary Form for 2016/2017 Is Out

This information is to notify interested candidates who made FUTO their first choice university, who must have been screened earlier in the 2016/2017 FUTO screening exercise and obtained a minimum screening score of 200, that the university will commence online registration for the 2016/2017 supplementary admission exercise on October 15 2016. 
The following procedure applies:
1 visit the university official website www.futo.edu.ng
2. Click on admission  
3 click on undergraduate
4 click on 2016/2017 supplementary admission exercise
5 enter your jamb registration number
6 print your invoice and proceed to any bank to pay a non refundable fee of N 10,000.00
7 Alternatively you can make payment using the online payment options with credit/debit card such as verve, visa, master card etc.
8 after successful payment in the bank, return to the portal.
9 repeat steps 1 to 4
10 click on “fill supplementary application form” link
11 complete and submit online supplementary application form.
12 print out your Acknowledgement slip
