This is to inform the Students of the Kogi State University (KSU) that the management have ordered them to return back to school for a completion of their semester examinations.
The students were sent home for four (4) months, following an indefinite strike by a school workers over the government’s inability to pay their arrears of salaries and other allowances.

The school has been reopened as a result a deal that was struck between the striking workers and Management to end the industrial action. As the students returned, they hoped both parties would sustain the agreement, praying against another strike.

Some of them decried the strike, describing it as an “unnecessary distraction and interruption”. Adeleke Omofaye, a 300-Level Education student, expressed bitterness, describing the strike as the worst period in the time he spent on the campus. He said he did not pray for another strike till his last day on the campus.

Adeleke called for understanding between government and the university workers to avoid a situation where the school would lose its credibility, because of constant disruption of its academic calendar.
